Terms of use

BangkokConnect is a free community and discovery platform for Bangkok. We provide the platform; members provide the events, listings, guides and conversation on it.

There are no paid plans and no fees. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and we will give notice where a change materially affects you.

• You must be 18 or over and provide accurate information.
• One account per person. Keep your credentials secure; you are responsible for activity under your account.
• You may delete your account at any time from settings.

The community guidelines form part of these terms. In addition, you must not:

• Scrape, bulk-download or resell platform content, or use it to build a competing database.
• Attempt to access accounts, data or systems you are not authorised to access.
• Interfere with the platform's operation, including via automated traffic or spam.
• Impersonate another person, business or organisation.

You keep ownership of everything you post. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce and distribute it as part of operating and promoting the platform. This licence ends when you delete the content, except for copies retained in backups or where others have replied to it.

You confirm you have the rights to what you post, including photographs and any material you did not create yourself.

Events, spaces, businesses, jobs and guides are submitted by members. We review listings before publication but we do not verify every detail, price or claim, and we are not the organiser, employer or operator of anything listed.

Check details with the organiser or venue before travelling, paying or applying. Any transaction, booking or employment is strictly between you and the other party.

We may remove content, restrict features or close accounts that breach these terms or the guidelines, or where required by law. Except where the breach is serious or unlawful we will tell you why and, on request, have a second moderator review the decision.

The BangkokConnect name, logo, design and software are ours. You may link to any public page freely; you may not copy the platform's branding or software without permission.

The platform is provided "as is". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content on it is accurate or current.

To the fullest extent permitted by Thai law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits or lost data, nor for what happens at an event or venue you find here. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand, and the courts of Bangkok have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
