Community guidelines
One set of rules covering members, organisers, hosts, businesses and writers. Short, and enforced.
For everyone
- Be a real person. One account, your own name or a handle you actually use, a photo that is you.
- No harassment, hate speech, threats, or targeting people by nationality, religion, gender, sexuality, disability or visa status.
- No sexual content, no content involving minors, no solicitation.
- Nothing illegal under Thai law, and nothing that promotes it — including drugs, unlicensed work, or visa fraud services.
- No spam, mass DMs, engagement farming, referral-link dumps or duplicate listings.
- Do not post other people's private information: phone numbers, addresses, documents, passport or visa details.
- Respect Thailand's laws on speech about the monarchy. Political content that breaks Thai law will be removed.
For event organisers
- Post only events you are actually running or are authorised to publish.
- Date, time, and a real venue or a working online link. Bangkok time (ICT) unless stated.
- State the true cost up front. If there is a door fee, a minimum spend or a deposit, say so.
- Say who the event is for, and if it is women-only, members-only, industry-only or age-restricted.
- Update or cancel the listing as soon as plans change. Repeated ghost events get organiser rights removed.
- No bait: the event on the page must be the event that happens.
For community hosts
- Publish your own group rules on the community page and enforce them.
- Handle member reports promptly, and escalate anything involving safety to the moderators.
- Do not use a community solely to funnel members into a paid product.
- Private communities stay private: do not republish members' posts elsewhere.
For businesses and spaces
- List only businesses you own or are authorised to represent. Claiming a listing that is not yours will be reversed.
- Prices, hours and amenities must be accurate. Update them when they change.
- No fake, incentivised or self-written reviews. Respond to reviews rather than reporting them for being negative.
- One page per real place. Chains list each branch separately.
For guide writers
- Write from first-hand knowledge of Bangkok. No AI-generated filler.
- Cite sources for prices, laws, visa rules and transit information, and link to the official page where one exists.
- Keep guides reviewed. Anything unreviewed for twelve months is flagged and may be unpublished.
- Disclose any commercial relationship with a place you recommend.
How we enforce this
Anyone can report content using the report control on a page or profile. Reports go to a human moderator. Depending on severity and history, one of the following follows.
- Reminder
- A note from a moderator and a chance to edit.
- Removal
- The post, listing or event is unpublished.
- Restriction
- Posting, hosting or messaging is paused for a period.
- Ban
- The account is closed. Used for safety issues, repeat abuse and fraud.
Think a decision was wrong? Reply to the moderator note or contact us and a second moderator will review it.
