What we use
Cookies and local storage are small pieces of data your browser keeps for a site. BangkokConnect uses them for signing in, security, remembering preferences and counting page use.
| Name | Category | Stored as | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Authentication session | Strictly necessary | Local storage | Keeps you signed in and lets the server verify your requests. | Until you sign out |
| Security token | Strictly necessary | Cookie | Protects form and action requests against cross-site request forgery. | Session |
| Preferences | Functional | Local storage | Remembers theme, language and dismissed banners. | 12 months |
| Product analytics | Analytics (consent) | Database event | Counts page views and feature use in aggregate so we know what is worth keeping. | 14 months |
Third parties
If you sign in with Google, Google sets its own cookies on its own domain during sign-in. Our hosting provider may set a short-lived security cookie to filter malicious traffic.
We do not embed advertising networks, social pixels, or third-party session recorders.
Your choices
- Analytics is consent-based — you can decline it and everything still works.
- You can clear cookies and local storage in your browser settings at any time; doing so signs you out.
- Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent signing in.
